Maple Sugaring Weekend

There will be a number of events around the annual Maple Sugaring Weekend here in Tamworth.

There will be a benefit pancake breakfast at The Preserve, time TBA, with Kimball Packard from The Farmstand serving up his famous locally sourced buttermilk pancakes and bacon.

Turkey Street Maples, 673 Turkey St, Tamworth, NH 03886 will have their evaporator going, and will be serving up all kinds of maple goodness, ice cream, cotton candy, whoopie pies and of course, their syrup.

From 11:00 - 3:00pm, The Remick Country Doctor and Farm Museum will be open. Enjoy the sweet taste of maple sugaring season at our historic farmstead! Visit the sugar house . See demonstrations of early sugaring practices of the Abenaki Indians, Doc Remick’s handmade backyard boiler, and today’s modern evaporator. Sample our farm-produced syrup and take some home—maple syrup and treats for sale. Sweet fun for all generations!

While visiting, meet and greet fuzzy farm animals and enjoy early signs of spring on the farm—the museum grounds will be open for you to explore.
